Full description and what we offer

Shuten Defensive Group runs firearms and medical training across the Portland/Olympia region with a philosophy built on measurable results and quantifiable goals. Founded by Asian and veteran shooters, SDG combines decades of firearm experience with military backgrounds, competition pedigree (Master-ranked USPSA shooters), and current EMT/medical professionals.

Their stated mission: "2A rights are rights for all people." SDG explicitly welcomes BIPOC, AAPI, LGBTQIA+, and everyone from new shooters to seasoned competitors. They enforce a zero-tolerance policy on misogyny, racism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, and hate speech. You get kicked out immediately if you violate it.

"I have no hesitation in recommending SDG as the place to start your skills or even see if you like shooting AS WELL as build your skills if it's not your first time shooting." — W.S., Google Review
