Simple Defense Concepts takes the proven self-defense system of Krav Maga—originally designed to train military conscripts fast with practical, effective techniques—and adapts it for kids and adults in Rumford, Maine.

Head Coach Eric Burdo brings serious credentials: Black Belt and Level 1 Certification in Krav Maga under Alain Cohen of the Krav Maga Federation of America, plus four years of dedicated training under Keith Emery of Krav Maga Maine. Beyond Krav, Eric holds a Red Belt in ninjutsu and has trained in Kali, giving him a diverse martial arts foundation. He's also a USCCA Certified Instructor who regularly trains churches for safety and security protocols. Assistant Instructor Ella Burdo rounds out the team.

Kids Krav blends gymnastics, jiu-jitsu, boxing, and wrestling into one practical package:
