Boston Firearms handles Massachusetts LTC courses and multi-state concealed carry training at their Everett location. Here's what sets them apart: they use real firearms in their indoor range during training. No plastic guns, no simulators. You'll feel the actual weight, trigger tension, and recoil before you walk into your police chief's office.
That matters because most jurisdictions now require proof of live fire training. Police chiefs explicitly look for it on your certificate. Taking a safety course without live fire is like getting your driver's license without ever actually driving.
Basic Firearms Safety Course (MA LTC) — $199 - 3 hours or less, one-time attendance - Covers everything needed for your Massachusetts License to Carry - Includes prep video, hands-on training, live fire range time, student booklet, certification, and application support - For self-defense, sport, or career advancement
Multi License Course (MA and 39+ States) — $299 - Same 3-hour format, covers Massachusetts plus reciprocal licensing in 39 additional states - You apply for 6 state licenses after completing the course: Massachusetts, Connecticut, Florida, Maine, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania - This gives you carry rights in: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming - Note: Rhode Island requires a separate qualification test (not provided by Boston Firearms)

"The instructors made this course feel super easy and safe. Their guidance eased my nerves and made me feel more comfortable around weapons. Definitely worth the money." — Tristian M.
If you complete the course, follow all instructions, have no disqualifications, and apply within a reasonable timeframe but face denial from your local police department, Boston Firearms will refund your course cost.
Age Requirements: - 15+ for FID card (rifles and shotguns only, no concealed carry) - 21+ for LTC (handguns, rifles, shotguns, concealed carry)
Eligibility: - U.S. citizens and permanent residents qualify - Residency in Massachusetts is not required - New Massachusetts law prevents cities from issuing "restricted" LTCs
Potential Disqualifications: - Felony conviction - Active restraining order (inactive ones may be appealable) - DUI/OUI conviction after 1994 (in Massachusetts) - Dishonorable military discharge - Court ruling of mental unfitness - Certain other crimes (check GOAL website for specifics)
Special Cases: - Have a prior MA LTC? You still qualify for the Multi License course and may receive a discount - Medical marijuana card? You can still get licensed but federal law prevents ammunition/firearm purchases - Already licensed in another state? Massachusetts doesn't require residency
