Bang Switch Firearms specializes in turning experienced shooters into certified instructors. They're authorized to train NRA Certified Instructors and Michigan Coalition for Responsible Gun Owners (MCRGO) CPL Instructors—the two main paths for teaching firearms in Michigan.

Their NRA courses cover:

• •Basic Instructor Training (BIT) — 6 hours, $100. The foundation course teaching NRA policies, teaching methods, and how to conduct certified classes.
• •NRA Pistol Instructor — 10 hours, $350. Teaches you to instruct NRA Basic Pistol Shooting.
• •NRA Rifle Instructor — 10 hours, $350. Covers rifle instruction and range safety.
• •NRA Shotgun Instructor — 11 hours, $350. Full-day course for shotgun instruction certification.
• •NRA Range Safety Officer (RSO) — 9 hours, $125. Develops certified range safety officers with knowledge of safe shooting operations and supervision.
• •NRA Chief Range Safety Officer (C-RSO) — 8 hours, $250. For current RSOs who want to train and supervise other range safety officers.

• •MCRGO CPL Instructor — 2 days, $425 ($100 nonrefundable deposit). Prepares you to teach Michigan-specific concealed pistol safety and the legal requirements for carrying outside the home. Prerequisites vary—you may need current NRA Personal Protection certification, USCCA credentials, or prior MCRGO CPL training.

• •MCRGO AR-15 Basics Instructor — Full day (8AM–6PM), $350. Teaches you to instruct new AR-15 owners on safety, operation, shooting fundamentals, and maintenance. Lunch and range fees included. The curriculum covers the entire platform from basics to skill development across learning styles.

• •MCRGO Everyday Concealed Carry Instructor — 16+ hours, $375 ($100 nonrefundable deposit). Advanced instructor development focusing on holster selection, drawing techniques, safe range management, and your unique teaching style.
