Like a Lady Firearms Training teaches handgun safety and marksmanship in Manton, Michigan. The operation is deliberately designed around what beginners actually need—especially women—without the intimidation factor that keeps a lot of people from walking through the door in the first place.

• •Founded in 2018, the business started with a clear mission: give people the training to confidently and safely protect themselves. Founder Alycia spent 5 years on active duty in the Marine Corps and holds NRA and MCRGO instructor certifications. She passed the business to Anastasia in 2025, who also started as a student before becoming a certified instructor. Both trainers believe being prepared isn't paranoia—it's responsibility.

• •Covers safe handling, gun function, terminology, clearing jams, accuracy, maintenance, and how to pick the right gun for your hands and needs

• •Handgun Fundamentals (Virtual) - Self-paced online course covering the basics of safe handling, gun function, terminology, jam clearing, accuracy tips, maintenance, choosing your first gun, and communicating confidently at gun stores and ranges.

After passing the virtual class, students can book 1 hour of supervised range time ($40, max 2 students per session) to practice what they learned.

Partnership with SHIELD First Aid & CPR (run by instructor Anastasia). 2-hour combination class covering CPR, First Aid, AED, and Stop the Bleed techniques. Limited class size to maximize hands-on instruction. Students earn two certificates. Cost: $85.

Comprehensive guidance on placement options (IWB, OWB, shoulder, ankle, belly band, under-bust) and why off-body carry (purses) requires extra care. Like a Lady is currently designing their own concealed carry purse to meet specific safety standards.
