Prime Defense Firearms Training

Prime Defense Firearms Training is run by Shawn Crowl and Jerry Crowl, two instructors who bring legitimate background to firearms education. Shawn grew up in a hunting and shooting family, earned his USCCA instructor certifications out of passion for safety training, and now owns the operation in Macomb. Jerry's resume is extensive—he worked as an Aviation Ordnanceman in the Navy handling aircraft armament, spent 13 years with a volunteer fire department (paramedic certified), 12 years with Coast Guard Auxiliary, and 14 years as a reserve deputy in the Marine Division. Both are committed to the idea that educated citizens make communities safer.

Both instructors hold USCCA Basic Pistol, Home Defense Fundamentals, and Concealed Carry instructor ratings. Jerry also carries NRA Range Safety Officer certification. Both are First Aid/CPR/AED certified and AVERT instructors.
