Beste's Sporting Clays and Pheasant Hunting Preserve sits on State Highway 28 near Sauk Centre, MN and operates two distinct shooting sports: a challenging sporting clays course and guided pheasant hunts on managed habitat. The property spans natural prairie and timber terrain designed specifically for shooting and hunting.

The course features 50 targets spread across 8 unique shooting stations. Each station sits in a different environment with varied backdrops, target presentations, and shooting angles. The layout changes monthly to keep the experience fresh. A typical round takes about 1 hour depending on group size.

Sporting Clays Schedule: - April through August - Tuesday & Thursday: 5:30 pm to dusk - Saturday: 10 am to 2 pm - Alternative days available by appointment

Four trap fields are available for individuals, groups, and league shooters. Trap can be shot solo or paired with a sporting clays round.

The preserve operates three hunting fields with prairie grass and switchgrass cover, plus willow ditches for extra concealment. Hunts run in 3-4 hour blocks, mornings or afternoons, with a 4-bird minimum per person.

Sporting Clay League (May-August): 5-8 person teams compete with top 5 scores counted monthly. Can join a partial team if needed.

Trap League: - Adult & Youth 2-person teams (one adult, one youth) - 5-person adult teams - Held Tuesday nights

Special events include the annual Golf & Shoot and Youth Shoot competitions.

The air-conditioned clubhouse seats up to 80 people and includes Wi-Fi, a full bar with beer, pop, and water, and RV hookups on-site. It's the gathering space before and after shooting or hunting.
