Full description and what we offer
Black Diamond Firearms Training was created by a group of local gun advocates and owners specifically to address firearms training needs in Minnesota. Rather than a corporate operation, this is a community-focused approach where all instructors are individually and nationally certified through the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Minnesota BCA, Minnesota DNR, and the National Rifle Association.
They handle the full range of pistol training:
Their mission: Educate, Equip, Empower. They're specifically designed to reduce barriers to quality training and legal gun ownership.
Student testimonials highlight what matters: relaxed, welcoming class atmosphere, engaging instruction, and instructors who make complex material understandable. New gun owners consistently report moving from nervous to confident after training. Existing owners appreciate gaining legal knowledge about carrying safely.
"The class atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming and made learning easy and fun." — Michael
"As a new gun owner, I was very nervous about handling and using my gun but after a few sessions of training, I feel much more knowledgeable and comfortable with it." — Student feedback
The operation is 100% insured, and they emphasize that quality instruction prepares you for real scenarios: "If the time comes where you have to defend yourself, train so you will be prepared."
Beyond individual classes, Black Diamond connects shooters to a broader network—local and national resources, ongoing education opportunities, and a diverse, supportive firearms community. They also operate Black Diamond Gun Club and Black Pearl Gun Club, expanding access to shooting facilities.
