Full description and what we offer
Easy Riders opened in 1972 as the first bicycle specialty shop in the Brainerd Lakes area. They're still here, occupying a historic building with an arched roof on Washington Street. Walk in and look up—the ceiling is a literal Hall of Fame of classic bicycles spanning decades.
Bikes come in every flavor: road, mountain, commuter, comfort, cruiser, fitness, hybrid, children's models, e-bikes, and fat bikes. Major brands include: - Trek (road, mountain, commuter, fat bikes) - Specialized - Electra (e-bikes, comfort bikes) - KHS - Sun Bicycles (recumbents and trikes)
Currently on sale: Trek Farley fat bikes ($1,299-$2,799), Electra e-bikes with pedal-assist ($1,199-$2,699), and hybrid commuters like the Trek FX 1 ($449).
Parts & Accessories stock Bontrager helmets, shoes, water bottles, tires, tubes, apparel, and components. Need something specific? They can special order with free shipping to store and complimentary assembly.
Winter Sports: Cross-country skis, snowshoes, and winter fat bikes. They maintain info on local trails including Northland Arboretum, Forestview Middle School, and Cuyuna's network (Larson Lake, Wolf Lake, French Rapids, Mille Lacs Kathio State Park, Savanna Portage State Park).
Rentals: XC skis, snowshoes, and fat bikes available seasonally. Canoes and kayaks also available. Skateboards, longboards, and scooters in stock.
Bicycle repair is their stated superpower. They service all brands—not just Trek and Specialized, though they're certified dealers and repair facilities for those two. The shop has a roster of 5 employees in mechanics alone.
Note: Parts requests require dropping off your bike or associated parts for accurate assessment.
