Full description and what we offer
Lake of the Woods Outfitters operates guided hunts for black bear and diver ducks in the northwest corner of Minnesota, minutes from Lake of the Woods and the Canadian border. The operation is run by Elliot Rinde and Brooke Jewell, who along with their crew spend the entire year scouting and preparing hunting locations.
"We spend all year in the woods and on the water so you can be sure your hunt will be a successful and memorable one."
The outfitters believe three things separate good bear hunts from great ones: bait selection, bait location, and baiting strategy. For about a month before your hunt, the guides dedicate themselves to daily baiting from dawn to dark, keeping detailed records of weather, wind, bait consumption, and other conditions. They use trail cameras to track bear quality and timing.

Open water diver duck hunts on Lake of the Woods provide a different hunting experience for those interested in waterfowl.
