Pivotal Defense is a training operation run by Clayton and Jennifer Schlosser in the Delano area, serving Minneapolis and Central Minnesota. Both instructors bring extensive credentials and a student-first philosophy to every course.

• •Clayton Schlosser has over 15 years in firearms and 10 years teaching experience. He's USCCA certified (#1876139) and holds additional credentials including Massad Ayoob's 20-hour Legal Use of Force course, Tactical Response Fighting Pistol/Rifle, and instruction certifications in Women's Handgun & Self Defense Fundamentals, Emergency First Aid, and Mass Shooter Response.

• •Jennifer Schlosser brings 10+ years of training experience, a Criminal Justice degree, and medical training background. She's also USCCA certified (#1876143) with the same foundational credentials as Clayton. Her criminal justice background gives her expertise in self-defense law—something she weaves into her instruction.

Both group and one-on-one instruction available. Courses focus on safety, precision, and practical application—meaning you leave knowing how to actually use what you learned, not just the theory.

The instructors stay current. Both have trained extensively under recognized names in the industry (Tactical Response, Costa Ludus, Massad Ayoob). They continuously update their own skills and bring that cutting-edge instruction to students.
