Own Black Hawk Valley Hunting Preserve?
01 // DETAILS
Full description and what we offer
Black Hawk Valley started in 1968 under Clarence Palmer and is now run by his grandson Greg Palmer as a third-generation operation. The preserve spans 600 acres of maintained habitat across Old Monroe—about 20 minutes north of St. Charles—with immaculate fields designed to give both hunters and dogs variety in landscape.
The preserve focuses on upland bird hunting with birds that fly well. You've got two options:
The guides here train their own bird dogs specifically for upland hunting and take pride in their work. If your dog needs training, the preserve offers finish field training or referrals to trainers. Mike "O" and his son Adam provide one-on-one dog training in clean but limited facilities—they train one customer's dog at a time.
"Upland hunting clubs are only as good as the quality of their birds, guides and dogs, and this is why Black Hawk is known as the best."
