Full description and what we offer
Rogers Goosedown Outfitters operates guided duck hunts from Kennett, Missouri – deep in the "boot heel" region that locals call waterfowl country. Located just ten minutes from the Arkansas border and only miles from major refuges like Ten Mile Pond and Otter Slough, this is where thousands of ducks and snow geese migrate through each winter.
You show up with your gun, ammo, and hunting license. Everything else comes with the package:
Hunts start 30 minutes before sunrise and typically run through noon, or until you hit the daily limit.
All hunts happen on private land, so you won't deal with crowds. The pit blinds are the same ones used for day leases – they produce birds consistently. Large decoy spreads in premium locations make the difference.
You'll typically encounter mallards, pintails, shovelers, green wing teal, gadwalls, and occasional wigeon. Snow geese and specklebelly geese are also in the mix. Duck season runs mid-November through January, with best conditions usually shifting around the holidays depending on weather patterns.
"We take pride in our seasoned team of Missouri duck-hunting guides. Our guides possess an intimate knowledge of the local waterfowl habits, migration patterns, and the best hunting locations throughout Missouri."
