Missouri Trophy Outfitters

Missouri Trophy Outfitters is a family-owned operation based in Mercer County, just miles from the Iowa border. They've been running guided and semi-guided hunts since 2000 across thousands of acres of private land with rolling hills, hardwoods, creeks, and managed agriculture.

MTO enforces a 125" minimum harvest standard to ensure mature bucks. This management approach—combined with excellent habitat, low hunting pressure, and strategic food source placement—delivers measurable results:

• •Bow hunts: 90% opportunity rate, 60% success
• •Rifle hunts: 100% opportunity rate, 90% success
• •Muzzleloader hunts (mid-December): Excellent as bucks predictably move between food sources

Hunts are fully guided with transportation to and from stands, game recovery, field dressing, and meat quartering included. Hunters can stay out all day or return to camp whenever they choose. Full meat processing is available locally in Princeton for additional cost.

Their guides have decades of experience reading deer movement, scouting with trail cameras year-round, and strategically placing tree stands (lock-ons, ladder stands, climber stands, and ground blinds).

MTO offers 3-day guided and non-guided turkey hunts with a track record of 100% opportunity across previous seasons. The operation has access to thousands of acres of hardwoods, crops, and fields with a large, call-responsive turkey population.

Guided hunts include home-cooked meals at the hunting lodge.

MTO deliberately limits the number of hunts available each season to avoid over-hunting their properties. They scout before each season, maintain trail cameras year-round, and rotate hunting pressure across multiple farms. The diverse habitat—agriculture, hardwoods, pasture, brush, rolling terrain—creates predictable deer and turkey patterns that their full-time hunting consultant leverages.

• •Important policies: Does are NOT hunted during the rut. Does may only be hunted at specific times on specific farms with outfitter permission. Wounded game status determines whether a hunt continues, at the outfitter's discretion.
