Full description and what we offer
Ozark Wings breeds its own Bobwhite Quail, Chukar, and Ringneck Pheasant specifically for size and flight performance. Most quail grow to nearly 16 oz—well above standard—which their hunters describe as the highest quality flight bird stock available today.
Hunts take place on habitat fields of Milo, Pearl Millet, Sunflower, Soybean, and Ragweed in mid-Western Missouri. Birds are set before arrival, but multiple coveys stay in the fields at all times. This setup means hunters consistently shoot significantly more birds than their packages include.
Half-day hunts range from $100 for Quail 10 to $275 for Ultimate Pheasant. Combination packages mix species—Quail/Chukar, Pheasant/Chukar, Pheasant/Quail. All-day hunts combine two packages. Guided hunts add $125 and include a full-time guide with 2-3 trained gundogs. Group continental hunts run $425 for 15 birds (10-person minimum).
| Add-On | Cost |
|---|---|
| Lunch | $12 each |
| Extra Bobwhite Quail | $10 each |
| Extra Chukar | $16 each |
| Extra Ringneck Pheasant | $24 each |
| Bird cleaning (whole) | $2-$2.50 each |
90% of hunts are repeat customers. Shotgun shells available on-site.
Their Brittany Spaniels are bred and trained specifically for upland work. The outfit maintains 16+ fully trained gundogs. Guides have been with Ozark Wings 8-10+ years—customers consistently report they're the best they've hunted with.
Shot size limited to 6-8 (no high brass duck loads; high brass field loads acceptable). Orange required. Shells sold on-site.
"I have shot wild quail, grouse, ducks, geese, and pheasants across America for 55 years, plus driven Red Grouse in Scotland and England. Ozark Wings presents an honorable and fair chase shooting experience which I regularly enjoy and recommend." — Judge R. Jack Garrett, Ret.
