KCTA (Kansas City Trapshooters Association) is a public shotgun range near Kansas City, in Smithville, Missouri, describing its history as spanning over a century of shooting.
The range hosts trapshooting and skeet shooting, including seasonal trap and skeet leagues and ATA-registered trapshooting tournaments. It also hosts corporate events, fundraisers, summer camps, high school events, and youth programs, alongside regular practice sessions for new and experienced shooters, plus gun safety and shooting instruction for new shooters.
Registered shoots and pre-squadding are managed through ScoresR.com. KCTA does not provide rental or loaner shotguns — shooters bring their own — but the range sells ammunition, reloading components, and shooting accessories on site.
