Own Anchor P Outfitters?
01 // DETAILS
Full description and what we offer
Anchor P Outfitters is owned and operated by James (Lon) Hanson and his wife Julie. Lon is a fifth-generation rancher in White Sulphur Springs and brings decades of guiding experience in the Central Montana valley. The Hanson family ranch history traces back to 1881—they know this terrain like the back of their hand.
Available alongside elk hunts (see rates above)
Most hunting is done by glassing, spotting, and stalking to within shooting distance. In the evenings, guides set up where animals were seen and wait for them to feed, or stalk to feeding areas. The guides are seasoned hunters who understand that a slow, quiet hunt works. Suppressors are very recommended in rifle season.
"Our goal is for you to see game and have an enjoyable time." While they can't guarantee everyone goes home with an animal, their hunting methods and guide experience increase your odds significantly.
You can stay on the ranch in the main lodge or one of four cabins:
| Accommodation | Details | Capacity |
|---|---|---|
| Main Lodge | Full kitchen, dining, living room, satellite TV, washer/dryer | Up to 8 people |
| The Elk & The Muley | Double cabins, recycled barnwood/tin interiors, electric heat/lights | 2-3 per cabin |
| The Fawn & The Cub | Single cabins, same finishes, electric utilities | 1 per cabin |
| Bathhouse | 2 three-piece bathrooms, electricity, furnished | All guests |
All linens, towels, and bedding provided. The campfire pit serves as gathering space for evenings.
