Full description and what we offer

Highlands Tactical Training Group isn't run by range officers with YouTube credentials. Lead instructor Doug Dryden is a retired P.O.S.T. Master Instructor who served as a Montana Game Warden, Sheriff's Deputy, Narcotics Detective, and FBI-trained SWAT officer on local, regional, and statewide teams. Frank Bowen spent 23 years as a U.S. Army Special Forces soldier and has taught soldiers across multiple countries, including presentations at the National Defense University. Zach Vanderwall has been instructing since 2008 and serves as the training group's medical officer and active EMT.

P.O.S.T. Certified Courses: - Tactical Handgun - Tactical Carbine - Precision Rifle

Additional Training: - PPCT defensive tactics - Ground fighting and edged weapons - Close protection operators course - Active shooter response

Highlands Tactical customizes training for military special operations units. Courses combine weapons systems (CQB handgun, M-4 carbine transitions, precision rifle) with wilderness survival and horsemanship training for units preparing to deploy to woodland or mountain environments. They've built tactical security programs for high-risk companies across the U.S. and Europe and handled executive protection details for VIPs.

"We have testimonials from active duty and retired law enforcement officers who've taken our classes," they note on their site.

You can train at their location or yours. Train at your facility with your team's specific needs. Active duty and retired military personnel guest instruct regularly, often donating time to help students build confidence with handguns and carbines.
