Full description and what we offer

Pistol & Pluck, LLC is a school of personal defense run by firearms trainer Cindy Frost, a former police officer and crime scene investigator. The philosophy is straightforward: courage and defensive competence are built through repetition and hands-on training, not imagination.

  • Defender Series – The flagship program. A comprehensive 5-week concealed carry curriculum that covers:
  • Firearm basics and proper fit & gear
  • Shooting fundamentals
  • Developing a personal protection plan
  • Violent encounters and their aftermath
  • Defensive pistol with less-lethal options and parking lot tactics
  • The legal use of force (a critical focus area)
  • One-on-one range coaching with Cindy Frost
  • Certificate of eligibility for Montana concealed carry permit upon completion

Specialty Classes: - Women's Pistol – Basic and Intermediate levels - Pistol 1 (open enrollment) - "The Line is Hot!" range days - E-learning module: Intro to Handguns

They emphasize the legal use of force specifically because the most common error today is premature display of a firearm without legal justification. Knowing when to shoot—or not to shoot—is as critical as knowing how.

"You are your own first responder. Train accordingly."

Whether you carry under a permit or Montana's Constitutional Carry, proper training separates responsible carriers from dangerous ones. The training calendar runs year-round with daytime and evening options.

Classes register through USCCA (United States Concealed Carry Association). Contact them directly at (406) 961-5375 or check their training calendar for current session start dates. The Defender Series typically runs 5 weeks on Wednesday evenings, 6–8 pm, with 10+ hours of content and personalized range instruction included.
