S&S Plus

S&S Plus operates from Polson, Montana as a full-service custom stock facility. What sets them apart: they combine expert stock work with competitive shooting instruction from an NSCA Level 2 Instructor. The philosophy is straightforward—a gun that doesn't fit you wastes your potential, and technique matters just as much as hardware.

Their process starts with a Precision Point of Impact Consultation using pattern boards and target presentations. You shoot a trial stock to verify final dimensions before they build your custom piece. Unlike shops that use generic templates, S&S Plus creates a completely personalized grip for each shooter.

They work with premium wood species: - English Walnut - Claro Walnut - Turkish Walnut - Maple - Myrtle

Each blank is hand-selected for grain flow and suitability. Finishes include polyurethane and oil options.

Mike came to Montana from Nevada over 20 years ago as an avid hunter and outdoorsman. His turning point came when he had several personal guns restocked and immediately noticed his shooting improved. That experience drove him to apprentice with a renowned Montana gunsmith and stock maker, then earn his NSCA certifications so he could help other shooters reach their potential.
