Whittecar Rifle & Pistol Range operates as a community-managed facility run by a 10-person Board of Directors. The range stays open to the general public 52 weeks a year on Wednesday through Sunday, with seasonal hours that shift in March and November.

You don't need a membership to shoot here. Day use is $10. If you're a regular, membership options make sense:

They accept cash, checks, and credit/debit cards.
The rimfire range is available to qualified members. To qualify, watch the safety video in the front office and get your membership card punched. The range also offers women's only self-defense classes and conducts law enforcement training.
Monthly board meetings happen the second Thursday of each month, usually at the range itself. Members are encouraged to attend. The facility is supported by membership fees, daily use fees, and local sponsors.
Whittecar publishes a yearly newsletter and maintains an active calendar with scheduled matches and classes. They're staffed by an on-site caretaker and run lean—always looking for volunteers to help with office work.
