IGY6 Gunsmithing started with a Marine. After 13 years on active duty and 31 years with BNSF Railroad, owner decided to chase a lifelong passion for firearms. He completed professional training through American Gunsmithing Institute—8 months of study and 5 exams to earn certification—then acquired his Federal Firearms License.
Because this isn't his sole income source and he operates lean with minimal overhead, IGY6 commits to fair and honest pricing on both gunsmithing services and firearm sales.
Elite Firearm Cleaning is the standout service. Instead of field stripping, firearms get completely disassembled and run through a professional ultrasonic cleaner that uses heated solution and high-frequency pressure waves to create cavitation—microscopic bubbles that clear contaminants from every surface inside and out. After cleaning, the same ultrasonic process applies protective lubrication. Critical parts get hand-lubricated during reassembly to guarantee smooth operation.
Complete disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning and lube, reassembly: $25.95 per firearm
