Sandhills Defense started with a personal moment—an attempted home break-in in 2016 that prompted the owner to pursue his concealed carry license. What began as a personal commitment to self-defense evolved into a mission to bring more shooters into the fold with real knowledge and skills.

The focus is on concealed carry training and firearms instruction for shooters ready to step up their game. Classes are scheduled regularly, with new sessions added all the time.

• •Background: The instructor grew up in Keya Paha County on a working cattle ranch where firearms were everyday tools. That practical foundation shapes how he teaches—no theory disconnected from real life.

"My passion is in advocating for the 2nd Amendment and preserving our right to keep and bear arms. I feel compelled to bring as many new shooters into the fold as I can, and equip them with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to feel empowered to be their own first responder."
