Full description and what we offer
Tactical Performance Center operates from St. George, Nevada and runs shooting courses that focus on the biomechanics and mental aspects of marksmanship. The center was built on a doctrine called "Reactive Shooting"—the science of using your body, mind, and the physics of the gun to hit a lethal zone at gunfight speed.
Their core courses include:
Unlike traditional firearms instruction, TPC doesn't teach everyone the same grip or stance. Their philosophy: you may shoot different from the person next to you in class, but it will be as fast and as accurate as your body, mind, and weapon allow.
Instructor-to-student ratios run 1:6 or better. No students are left behind. Ever.
They measure progress using the TPC Rating system—a way to benchmark your performance against competitive shooters worldwide. Students know exactly where they stand and can track improvement months after the course ends.
"I improved by 58% between the start and end of the Carry with Confidence course." - Student evaluation
"I shot my USPSA match with 35 rounds where I never missed a steel, all alpha and 1 C. I've doubled my percentage since February." - Student after dry fire practice at home
"After 35 years in military/law enforcement, I never expected these results in my skills." - Law enforcement attendee
Students routinely report: - Measurable accuracy improvement (50%+ increases documented) - Confidence gains they carry into self-defense and competition - Teaching methods that work because they explain the WHY, not just the HOW - Personalized attention that catches bad habits before they form
Instructors include: - Ron Avery (founder, competitive shooter, police officer background) - Ken Nelson - Rossen Hristov - Max Leograndis - Brian Nelson - Dave Shore - Glen - JoAnn Bradley - Dave Barton - Louie Tirona - Adam - Brian Sam
All instructors train in TPC's own doctrine and are top-tier shooters themselves.
Special programs available for LEO and military units. Custom courses can be hosted at your range.

They love talking about how to help shooters hit stuff fast. Call or email with your skill level and goals—they'll recommend the right course.
Repeated attendees cite the high instructor-to-student ratio, the ability to see measurable progress, and the fact that the teaching actually sticks. Home dry fire practice after courses produces real range results months later. Both beginners coming back for advanced courses and experienced shooters returning for new disciplines—that repeat rate speaks to the quality.
