Civilian Training Institute operates out of Henderson, Nevada as a family-owned training facility focused on concealed carry certification and defensive shooting skills. What sets them apart: if you don't pass range qualification, you get a free one-hour private lesson and requalification within 14 days—no excuses.

Their multi-state CCW course splits into two components:

Classroom Instruction (4 hours) - Legal framework for carrying concealed - Firearm safety and storage - Handgun types, ammunition, and malfunction clearing - Shooting positions, grip, and aiming techniques - Mental awareness and the defensive mindset - De-escalation and avoiding confrontations - Post-incident response and liability - Written proficiency test: 50 questions (70% minimum to pass)

Range Qualification (4 hours) - 30-round course of fire on B27 silhouette targets - 6 rounds at 3 yards | 12 rounds at 5 yards | 12 rounds at 7 yards - 70% minimum score required

New modular format allows you to take the full 8-hour course in one day or split it across two days. Both classroom and range must complete within 14 days of each other, but you can take them in any order.
