Briarhawk specializes in making the federal firearms transfer process straightforward. This isn't a side service—it's what they do best. They've built their process around transparency: you know exactly what happens at each step, how long it takes, and what you'll pay.
Find a firearm online, have it shipped to Briarhawk, and they handle the rest. Here's how it works:
1. Seller requests Briarhawk's FFL from their database 2. Briarhawk responds with their license electronically 3. Seller ships the firearm with sales invoice 4. Briarhawk logs it into their A&D book same day 5. You get called/texted when it's ready for pickup 6. Come in with ID, payment, and complete your 4473
Transfer fee: $20 per firearm. Nevada sales tax applies (pay before pickup or at pickup). Background check fee: $25 if you don't hold a current NV CCW permit.
Pickup window: 4 weeks from arrival. After 4 weeks, storage fees start at $10/week. After 90 days, firearms are considered abandoned and sold. Military personnel on deployment can request exceptions with advance notice.

Briarhawk's FAQ asks the real questions: Is that "deal" actually cheaper after transfer fees, shipping, and tax? Is the website legit? Is your credit card data safe? They're not anti-online purchases—they'll support you if you find a hard-to-locate firearm. But they point out the actual cost math often favors buying local.
