Defense Preparedness Training specializes in self-defense instruction for co-ed groups, with particular focus on women, kids/teens, seniors, and disabled students. They operate as an affiliate of WDW Training Center, a 501(c)(3) non-profit.
Instructors include NRA Certified Firearms Instructors, top U.S. Firearms Academy graduates, semi-retired police and sheriff's department personnel, and professionals trained in martial arts evasive and defensive maneuvers.
- •Nevada CCW Permit Class – New/renewal applicants covering active shooter preparedness, liability insurance, cover vs. concealment, survivor mindset, and post-incident response. Includes LEOSA qualification for retirees.
- •Basic Range Training – Firearms handling, safety, concealed carry options, stance, grip, sight alignment, and live-fire exercises (kids 7+ with parents welcome)
- •Defensive Handgun Training – Draw stroke from concealment, pistol/shotgun handling, and live-fire fundamentals
- •Close Quarters Defense – Awareness, survivor mindset, evasive maneuvers, and non-lethal options
