Firearm Training Classes

2A Tactics started when the Bolinder family realized they needed to take active responsibility for their own safety—and wanted to help others do the same. What began as informal range trips with friends and family transformed into a formal training business over 7 years ago (previously operating as Handgun Assurance). Today, they focus on arming shooters with both skills and knowledge.

• •Handgun Assurance — The starting point. 4-5 hours classroom, 2-3 hours range time. You'll learn handgun types, how they function, calibers, ammunition, safe handling, and storage. They provide everything (guns, ammo, targets, eye/ear pro). You shoot revolvers and semi-autos to figure out what works for you. Women's-only sessions available.

• •Nevada & Utah Concealed Carry — Full-day class (8 hours classroom + range time). Covers situational awareness, conflict avoidance, applicable laws, what happens after a shooting incident, and holster selection. You bring your gun, holster, 50 rounds, and eye/ear pro. Includes the USCCA book "Concealed Carry and Home Defense." Pass the range qualification and you're ready to apply for your permit.

• •Nevada CFP Renewal — 4 hours + range qualification to renew your 5-year permit. Covers safety, current laws, and post-incident procedures. Nevada has no grace period, so timing matters.

Dale Bolinder — NRA Certified in Pistols, Personal Protection Inside/Outside the Home, and Range Safety. Teaching since 2013, with 15+ years experience as a formal instructor in diesel and heavy equipment.

Karen Bolinder — NRA Certified in Pistols, Personal Protection, and Refuse to Be a Victim. Her specialty is taking women from uncomfortable to confident. She's been teaching since 2014.

Caleb Bolinder — Firearms enthusiast and NRA Pistol Instructor since 2013. The resident gun mechanics expert.
