Homeland Personal Protection was founded in 2010 to teach real-world defense skills. Maggie Mordaunt (CCW Maggie) and Ken Ortega lead the operation and serve as primary instructors. HPP has trained over 1,000 students—military personnel, law enforcement, armed professionals, and civilians preparing for lawful self-defense.

Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) Courses - 8-hour initial multi-state CCW class: $120 (covers NV and UT applications) - 4-hour Nevada CFP renewal: $80–$125 - Written exam and range qualification included - Covers firearm safety, handgun selection, ammunition, holsters, carry modes, legal use of force, and Nevada application process - Range qualification fee: $15
Defensive Handgun Training - Introduction to Defensive Handgun (ITDH): $125 - Fundamentals of Conceal Carry - Fundamentals of Home Defense - Fundamentals of Intuitive Defensive Shooting - Intuitive Defensive Shooting (IDS) - Dynamic Defensive Carbine - USCCA DSF Level 1

Classes exceed Nevada's minimum permit requirements and include FBI-based defensive shooting concepts. Students leave with federal, state, and local law knowledge plus practical self-defense skills.
Students Provide: - Your own handgun (semi-automatic or revolver) or rent one for $25 - Minimum 50 rounds of ammunition - Two loaded magazines - Eye and electronic hearing protection - Lunch, fluids, snacks - Pen and paper
HPP Provides: - High-quality instruction - Written tests and qualification targets - Hearing protection (if needed) - Eye protection (if needed) - Safe live-fire range drills - Applications for NV and UT permits
