PSE Composites has been manufacturing premium carbon fiber rifle stocks since 2008. Based in Cork, Ireland, the company specializes in inlet-moulded stocks that deliver exceptional strength-to-weight ratios without sacrificing features or rigidity.
Unlike traditional stock makers that CNC mill generic blanks, PSE uses inlet-moulding—a process involving complex moulds where carbon fiber materials are hand-laid for specific rifle types. This approach allows PSE to:
- •Place strong materials exactly where needed
- •Avoid milling away strength after molding
- •Integrate carbon fiber pillars and structures during production
- •Create stocks with solid foam cores (not hollow) for recoil dampening and noise reduction
The company credits collaboration with engineers from F1, supercar, and aerospace industries for the design and manufacturing innovations in their latest Evolution Series.
- •PSE Evolution Series — Starting at approximately 700 grams (24.5 oz), the Evolution is among the lightest adjustable stocks available. Features include:
- •Inlet-moulded construction with Integrated Carbon Skeleton (ICS) tech
- •Spring-loaded, single-hand adjustable carbon cheek piece
- •Pentagon-shaped pistol grip designed for subconscious shooter orientation
- •Solid foam core for compression and recoil dampening
- •PSE Carbon Bedding System with steel recoil lug (Tikka versions)
- •Integrated carbon or aluminum pillars
- •QD flush cups and swivel studs
- •Available for Rem 700/clones and Tikka platforms
- •Starting from $1,527 USD
- •PSE E-Tac Series — New for 2026, under 800g (28 oz), described as one of the lightest adjustable tactical stocks on the market. Features quick-adjust carbon cheek piece, ergonomic grip, integrated carbon pillars, and inlet-moulded monocoque construction. Designed for hunting through long-range precision shooting.

New for 2026 SHOT SHOW launch: a patented tool that measures a firearm's center of gravity (COG) in relation to the bore line. The insight came from years of customer feedback—shooters noted that switching to lighter PSE stocks dramatically improved rifle handling, accuracy, and shootability. PSE determined that proper bore-line balance reduces launch-angle inconsistency, improves recoil behavior, and enhances consistency. The tool allows shooters to adjust components and weights to align COG with bore line.
PSE stocks are used by serious competitors:
- •Paul Dowling (PSE Ambassador, Ireland) — 1st place Extreme Long Range (ELR) Rimfire match (50-625 yards) and 1st place Irish Sporting Rifle League using PSE E-Tac stocks under 1kg
- •Dan Lomas (GB) — European Championship winner, credited PSE E-Tac carbon stocks as "one of the most forgiving" in his victory
- •Rory & Daniel Gibbons (Ireland) — 1st and 2nd place, 4th round Precision Rifle League, both using PSE E-Tac stocks
- •José Enrique — 1st place PRS Spain match 2025, uses PSE stocks
- •Dan Gibbons — 1st place Sporting Rifle League with 6.5x55, four gold medals and one silver with PSE E-Tac stock
PSE offers original equipment manufacturing for established rifle makers, with Heym AG currently supplying PSE E-Lite stocks on their SR21 and SR30 rifles.
- •Adjustable cheek piece — Spring-loaded, single-hand quick release (SHQR system), negative-shape design that falls away on recoil
- •Pentagon grip design — Provides subconscious shooter orientation and consistency
- •Material construction — Hand-laid carbon fiber with integrated skeleton technology, solid microcell foam core
- •Finish — Carbon camo standard with custom options available
- •Accessories — Stippled grip and fore-end, QD flush cups, swivel studs, Picatinny rail threads (rail sold separately), length-of-pull spacers, lightweight recoil pad
- •Rigidity — Solid core eliminates hollow stock noise; foam core aids compression and stiffness
