Full description and what we offer
Rock Paintball operates from a property that's hosted pursuit sports since 1984. The field owner, IcemanNH, opened it to the public in 1999 after Triad Paintball Games closed. What started as backyard play on deer paths has evolved into a marked, organized field with permanent bunkers.
The field hosts woodsball, milsim, and stock class paintball games. They also share the property with airsoft players, so clear fill paintballs only—no exceptions. This keeps paint off other equipment on the multi-use property.
Detachment Series exercises run twice yearly (July and October) with limited squad sizes and prepay-only registration. Games include: - Clear fill paint and First Strike rounds - Thunder B CO2 grenades - HPA/CO2 fills - Field patches and ammo ($80 per player, typically)
No walk-ons for Detachment exercises. You must register and prepay at least two weeks ahead.
Rock Paintball doesn't mess around with safety: - All players must attend a safety briefing before playing - Barrel bags mandatory (plugs not allowed) - Masks stay on except in the staging area - All markers must be semi-auto, under 300fps, and chronographed - Players must be at least 10 years old - Refs supervise every single game - Three warnings about mask compliance = you're done for the day
Gameplay specifics: Gun hits, gear hits, and breaks count. Spray and bouncers don't. Headshots happen—aim elsewhere if possible. The "No Bitch" rule applies within 20 feet: either back up or call yourself out.
197 Sandown Road, Fremont, NH 03044. Routes from I-93, I-95, and local highways all available. Fair warning: online GPS sometimes routes you through NH backroads. They provide highway-based directions on their site.
Serves players from NH, Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont, Connecticut, and Rhode Island.
"We play for fun. Attitudes are not tolerated."
The Rock has survived by adapting—from mag-fed guns to electro markers, from speedball back to woods. They position themselves as "an industry leader in safety and gameplay" and focus on fair, fun matches with working refs.
