Sunset Mountain Fish & Game Club operates as a member-driven organization focused on advancing outdoor sportsmanship, fellowship, and marksmanship in central New Hampshire. Founded on principles of honesty, respect for the outdoors, and good sportsmanship, the club has built a reputation for structured shooting events and youth development.
The club maintains multiple ranges and runs competitive shooting programs throughout the year:
- •Pistol Leagues – Winter and summer indoor/outdoor pistol competition with practice rounds followed by competitive scoring
- •Long-Range Rifle Events – Seasonal long-distance rifle shoots
- •Shotgun League – Dedicated shotgun competition program
- •Youth Program – Monthly shooting instruction with mandatory classroom safety training and lunch provided
- •Specialty Shoots – Lemon Shoot, Aspirin Shoot, Long Gong Shoot, and Pin Shoot events
Members and guests participate in structured events with set schedules. Youth programs include mandatory safety certification before any shooting begins. The club handles event coordination, scheduling, and facility maintenance—outdoor ranges are regularly serviced to ensure safe shooting conditions.
