Horse Pond Fish & Game Club has been a fixture in Nashua for nearly 80 years. This is a member-based club run by sportsmen who actively support the shooting and hunting community.

The club operates multiple shooting ranges, all housed under a raised, covered platform:

  • 100-yard rifle range – for centerfire and long-range work
  • Two handgun shooting stands – covered for weather protection
  • Indoor and outdoor archery ranges – full facilities for both disciplines
  • Pellet shooting range – with bullet catches

Joining Horse Pond isn't a walk-in situation. Here's what you need:

Expect a structured approval timeline:

1. Get a current member to sponsor you 2. Complete membership application 3. Submit to Board of Directors (last Tuesday of month, 6:45 PM) – sponsor must attend 4. Board votes; majority approval required (dues refunded if denied) 5. Attend General Meeting first Tuesday of next month if not notified of results 6. Final approval requires unanimous vote from general membership present 7. Receive membership ID card, bylaws, and range rules 8. Sign ethics statement

The club actively supports military members and encourages introducing women and children to shooting and hunting.

President Ray Smith oversees operations. The clubhouse is easy to find: take Route 3 (Everett Turnpike) to Exit 6, head west on Broad Street (Route 130), pass the Fish Hatchery, then turn right on Horse Pond Avenue and follow it to the end.
