Full description and what we offer
Battle Creek Paintball & Airsoft Fields sits on 625 Macopin Road in West Milford, NJ, spread across 15 acres of woodlands, rolling hills, and winding paths. The fields themselves aren't generic open fields—they're thoughtfully designed combat arenas with multiple terrain types, natural obstacles, and varied cover for tactical gameplay. Think dense tree cover, elevation changes, and trails that force real strategy.
The space is open every Saturday and Sunday, year-round. No "closed seasonally" nonsense. Spring mud, summer heat, fall foliage, winter snow—Battle Creek operates through all of it.

Paintball and Airsoft. Both operate at Battle Creek, and the difference matters for different groups. Standard paintball uses paint-filled rounds at varying speeds. Low-impact paintball uses smaller, slower rounds—popular with younger players and first-timers. Airsoft uses lightweight pellets with no mess, easier for kids to handle, and gear that looks more realistic (which adds to the immersion).
Rental gear is included. Protective equipment (masks, goggles, padded vests) is provided and fitted. Referees manage every game. Safety briefing happens before first match.
If you show up expecting just to shoot paint and leave, you'll be surprised by how much work your body does. Paintball at Battle Creek means constant movement: sprinting across uneven ground, crouching behind cover, climbing over natural obstacles, quick direction changes. Your legs drive the sprints, your core keeps you balanced weaving through trees, your upper body manages the marker. Heart rate climbs, breathing deepens.
Because the terrain includes hills and varied ground, your body works harder than flat-field paintball. Roughly an hour of play burns calories comparable to an hour of treadmill time or a long hike—but your brain stays engaged the whole time. No boredom, no counting reps.
"What makes paintball such a great fitness activity is that you barely notice how much work your body is doing. You are too busy laughing with friends, planning your next move, and exploring the field to think about calories or reps."
Battle Creek doesn't treat kids as secondary players. They've built the experience so children and adults can genuinely compete together:
1. 15 acres of actual terrain variation, not a manicured field—hills, woods, trails, natural obstacles 2. Year-round operation on weekends, no seasonal shutdowns 3. Low-impact and airsoft options make paintball accessible to younger players and new shooters 4. All-inclusive group packages: Rental gear, protective equipment, refs, safety briefing all included 5. Varied game types and special events (zombie night, tournaments, night games)
Groups of 10+: Call to reserve. Casual drop-in players welcome during posted hours.
