Full description and what we offer
NJ SORA Professionals specializes in getting people ready to work armed security in New Jersey. They handle the entire process—applications, fingerprinting, training, and range qualifications—so you don't have to figure it out alone.
To carry armed in New Jersey, you need two things: - An Armed SORA Card (Security Officer Registration Act) - A Concealed Carry Permit (CCW) for a handgun
The SORA card alone doesn't let you carry. Most people don't know the difference, which is why NJ SORA Professionals exists.
This is their flagship offering. Here's what's included:
Documentation & Licensing: - NJ State Police SORA application completion and submission - Firearms Purchaser Identification Card (FID card) application - Permit to Purchase a Handgun application - Fingerprint appointment booking
Training (24 hours): - Enrollment in required SORA training course - Civilian Carry Assessment and Range Evaluation (CCARE) course of fire - Use of Force training - Firearms Safety and Awareness instruction
Training happens at a private gun range in Sussex County. You must own your own handgun to apply for CCW.
Additional Services: - Step-by-step guidance through every requirement - Resume building and job placement consultation - Renewal packages for existing SORA holders - Special pricing for applicants who already have FID cards or pistol permits
You're responsible for State Police and local police fees, separate fingerprinting for the FID card, and ammunition for qualifications (unless purchased from the range).
Applicants who already hold FID cards, pistol permits, or SORA certifications can contact them for adjusted pricing on individual components.
