Operation Gunfighter

Operation Gunfighter was founded on one principle: if it doesn't challenge you, it won't change you. The organization brings real-world tactical experience from decades of law enforcement, military, and elite civilian instruction to New Jersey shooters.

Head instructor Joseph brings 27 years of public safety expertise. He started at Rahway State Prison's Special Operations Group in 1999, then spent years with Fair Lawn Police Department where he served as Firearms Instructor, Detective Sergeant, and Rangemaster. He's trained alongside Delta Force, Green Berets, Navy SEALs, FBI/ATF SWAT teams, and top USPSA/IPSC competitors. His background includes instruction at Bergen County Law & Public Safety Institute and advanced training at Storm Mountain and Blackwater.

All instruction follows P.O.D.U.S.—Performance On Demand Under Stress. Classes emphasize efficiency (economy of motion), speed, and accuracy for defensive applications.

• •Pistol curriculum covers: Safety and weapon handling, grip and stance mechanics, sight alignment and sight picture, draw and retention from holster, dry and live fire drills, reloading fundamentals, common malfunctions, defeating cover garments, and downed optic techniques.

• •1-Day Rifle Fundamentals ($250, 500 rounds)
• •2-Day Advanced Rifle Fundamentals ($300, 600+ rounds)
• •5-Day Rifle Instructor Course ($650, 1000 rounds)

Beyond range instruction, Operation Gunfighter offers: - Business/site security assessments - Active shooter response training and CQB tactics - Active shooter preparedness programs - Stop the bleed trauma mitigation - Personal security assessments (home or travel, domestic or abroad)

All instructors are highly trained with years of experience, reps, and certifications. The team includes current and former law enforcement, military personnel, and civilian instructors. Joseph holds numerous certifications: firearms and tactics instructor, less lethal and chemical munitions, CQB small unit tactics, active shooter response, and SWAT operations.

We train to a standard, not a time. Students leave with repeatable consistency through proper mechanics and techniques. The curriculum is time-tested, tried, and true. Classes push students outside their comfort zone to achieve higher skill standards.

Classes hosted across New Jersey: - New Milford (RDS/Instructor courses: March 31–April 1) - Woodcliff Lake (RDS/Instructor: May 14–16) - Bergen County Police Academy (BCPA): Multiple 1-day and 2-day RDS courses throughout the year

Operation Gunfighter can conduct training at your facility. Requirements: - Suitable range allowing draws from holster - Target stands or equivalent - Host receives one free spot - Minimum 6 paid attendees (in-state NJ), 12+ for out-of-state based on travel distance
