Valiance Firearms Training is a private, invitation-based training community founded by Nate Castillo, a U.S. Army 75th Ranger Regiment veteran. Operating from the Boise Foothills since 2023, Valiance delivers professional firearms instruction rooted in close-quarters battle tactics from combat deployments in Afghanistan and Syria.

Valiance trains everyday defenders—individuals, families, church security teams, and school safety personnel—with practical skills they can actually use. The philosophy is simple: build confidence and real-world capability through small-group, thoroughly vetted instruction.

Nate Castillo brings direct special operations experience to every course. His background includes: - Elite 75th Ranger Regiment service - Combat deployments to Afghanistan and Syria - Close-quarters battle expertise with carbine and pistol - Certified instructor and RSO credentials

Outside of training, Nate and his family are actively involved in Idaho's foster care community and serve in their church.

Valiance operates as a private range with specific, verified safety protocols:

No compromise on fire safety. The range has firebreaks, two dedicated water trucks, AR500 targets, full-time fire watch, and contracts with a private fire-response contractor. Zero tracer or incendiary rounds—ever.

  • Small, vetted groups only—no drop-in randoms
  • All spent brass picked up after every session
  • Sound levels verified and maintained within community limits
  • Wildlife remains active on the property (not displaced by operations)
  • No plans to expand—focused exclusively on serving greater Boise

"We're not a public range. We operate privately with no plans to expand, focused solely on serving the greater Boise area through community-based training."

Valiance trains with gear and equipment from trusted manufacturers: - Eberlestock (tactical gear) - Agency Arms (firearms) - Keepers of Liberty Gunworks (American-made holsters) - Ammo Squared (ammunition)

Valiance doesn't operate like a walk-in range. All students go through a vetting process before training begins. When you sign up for a course or membership:

1. Complete your order 2. Valiance reaches out to vet your background and intent 3. Get scheduled for your training session

This isn't gatekeeping—it's intentional community building.

Small selection of branded training gear: - The Patriot Beanie ($30) - The Patriot Cap ($35) - VFT Hoodie ($80) - Valiance Badge ($10) - Be Mug ($15)

Valiance's foundation: Truth. Brotherhood. Readiness. Everything flows from their Christ-centered, special operations ethos. Their mission statement says it clearly: equip good people with skill, courage, and confidence to protect what matters—families, communities, and faith.
