Full description and what we offer
James Bindel founded Across the Canal Shooting Sports in 2008 to give southeastern New Mexico real sporting opportunities—not generic ranges, but purpose-built fields. It shows.
They run 1 twelve-station sporting clay range, 3 operating skeet fields, 1 trap field, and 5-stand shooting for casual clay work and bird hunters preparing for season. The trap pit alone is custom-engineered—Bindel describes it as "the greatest pit anywhere." The sporting clay stations aren't stock either; they're custom-designed and positioned to challenge shooters at different skill levels.
Rifle shooting happens by appointment, with distances from 100–800 yards, plus a pistol range with steel targets.
