High Ridge Outfitters

High Ridge Outfitters guides rifle, bow, and muzzleloader hunts in New Mexico's high desert country. Elevation ranges from 5,000 to 10,000 feet—terrain that demands physical preparation and proper gear.

• •Weather is unpredictable. New Mexico's arid climate can swing from 90°F to below freezing on the same hunt. Bring layers and be ready for anything.

• •Physical fitness matters. You'll need to hike a minimum of 5 miles over rugged terrain carrying 30 lbs. The elevation is real. Being in hunting shape directly impacts success.

• •Your weapon (rifle, bow, or muzzleloader)
• •Ammunition or arrows
• •Layered clothing and rain gear
• •Binoculars and shooting sticks
• •Two pairs of waterproof boots
• •Personal medications and hygiene items

High Ridge Outfitters will work with hunters of varying fitness levels, but conditioning yourself before arrival makes the difference between a successful and unsuccessful hunt.
