Full description and what we offer
Kennedy Hunting Services operates from Des Moines in the northeast corner of New Mexico, running guided trophy hunts on private land across northern New Mexico and southern Colorado. The operation focuses on four primary game animals with a reputation for consistently delivering quality trophy experiences.
All hunts package three essentials: - Professional guide service (guides stay on-site during entire hunt) - Lodging at Turkey Track Lodge (sleeps 20, two hunters per room) - Meals throughout the hunt
What hunts DON'T include: Out-of-state licenses, airport transportation, meat/trophy shipping, or gratuities. Hunters arriving early pay $250/day. Non-hunting guests also $250/day.
These are the flagship offering. Nearly every year Kennedy has harvested bucks close to 200" or better, with all taken animals averaging over 6.5 years old—a combination of great genetics and selective hunting pressure.
2024 Pricing: - Colorado (December, Ranching for Wildlife Program): $13,500 - New Mexico (October): $7,000–$8,500
Colorado Changes in 2023: After 30 years in the Ranching for Wildlife program and numerous 200+ bucks, they now limit Colorado deer hunts to 2-3 hunters in December and require Colorado preference points. Hunters without preference points can pursue New Mexico deer, which remains over-the-counter on private land.
In 2023, Kennedy harvested their two highest-scoring bulls ever during 45 years in business. Results: 27 rifle hunters took 27 bulls in New Mexico; 3 archery hunters harvested 2 bulls. In Colorado, 4 hunters killed 3 bulls averaging 403 inches gross.
