Full description and what we offer
Screenamin' Bull Outfitters was established by Louie Lucero in the late 1970s. His son Chris took over 15 years ago and has built the operation into one of Northern New Mexico's most respected elk hunting destinations. Louie still guides and helps with lodge operations, bringing decades of mountain knowledge to every hunt.
All hunts take place on Rio Costilla Park Ranch — 82,000 acres of managed private land in north-central New Mexico near Amalia. SBO controls the northern half, over 40,000 acres spanning elevations from 8,000 to 12,000+ feet in the Cimarron Range of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. The ranch is bordered by Vermejo Park Ranch (Ted Turner's property) to the east and Carson National Forest's Valle Vidal to the south. No draw required — these are fully private hunts.
