Tactical Solutions Institute

Located north of Aztec, New Mexico—halfway between Durango, Colorado and Farmington—Tactical Solutions Institute offers firearms training from the basics through advanced defensive techniques. Classes stay small so you get personalized instruction instead of getting lost in a crowd.

• •New Mexico Concealed Handgun Carry — 15-hour class, $200. DPS and NRA approved. Includes 10% discount on future classes.
• •Concealed Carry Renewals & Refreshers — Renewal $75, refresher $50. Multiple dates throughout 2025.
• •Defensive Handgun Level I — Two-day intensive ($350, or $200/day). Covers safe handling, accuracy, speed, shoot/don't shoot, moving targets, malfunction drills, use of cover.
• •Defensive Handgun Level II — Prerequisites: Level I or equivalent. Adds low-light shooting, injury drills, room clearing, tactical stress scenarios.
• •Introduction for New Handgun Shooters — Four-hour class, $100. All guns and ammo provided.
• •Shotgun & Rifle Training — Available on request.
• •Home Firearms Safety — For families and household firearms security.
• •NRA Instructor Certification — Train to become an instructor.

Private range with moving targets, mechanical targets, a shoot house, and classroom space—no normal distractions.

Classes typically run 8 AM–5 PM. Individual and small group sessions available by appointment.

Regular classes run throughout 2025. Concealed carry renewals are offered monthly (mostly Sundays at 9 AM, a few evening options). Defensive handgun levels and new shooter intro classes scheduled as needed.
