The Amador Group

The Amador Group delivers comprehensive concealed carry instruction across New Mexico, structuring courses to meet state requirements while building actual competence. Their program combines self-paced online learning with live range training and situational awareness instruction—no rubber-stamp certifications.

• •Step 1: Self-Paced Online Academy – Access 24/7 to coursework covering fundamentals, legal considerations, and scenario-based decision-making. 19 chapters, 16 videos, 3 USCCA mini-courses, and downloadable reference materials.

• •Step 2: Virtual Situational Awareness Review – Zoom session with instructors covering everyday defensive scenarios and decision-making frameworks.

• •Step 3: Firearm Fundamentals – SIRT (Simulated Immersive Reality Training) pistol training to build muscle memory and trigger control before live fire.

• •Step 4: Range Qualification – Full day of hands-on training (typically 8:30am–3:30pm) with guaranteed 1:1 coaching to ensure every student passes state qualification.

Students bring 100 rounds of factory ammunition (reloads not accepted). The Amador Group can supply ammo if needed locally.

CCW+ Membership ($2/month) – Required as of September 1, 2024. Benefits include waived 2-year refresher training ($75 savings), waived 4-year registration, four range training sessions annually, and bulk ammo ordering.

Courses run statewide: Silver City, Farmington, Albuquerque, Las Cruces, Alamogordo, Gallup, Roswell, and Legal Heat. Multiple dates monthly—see schedule for availability.

The Draw Academy continues skill development, covering draw-from-concealment, malfunction clearing, and speed-vs-accuracy drills.

New Mexico residents or armed forces members, age 21+, U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident, no felony convictions, not prohibited by federal law. Standard disqualifiers (fugitive status, adjudicated mental incompetence, controlled substance addiction) apply per state statute.
