Hobbs Gun Club operates an outdoor shooting facility open from half an hour before sunrise to half an hour after sunset. The range accommodates pistols, rifles, and shotguns across designated bays—pistol bays are restricted to pistol calibers (.22LR, .380, 9MM, .45ACP, .357 MAG, .44 MAG, 10MM).
The club hosts three active shooting disciplines:
- •Monument Springs Bushwhackers – Silhouette shooting matches in southeast New Mexico
- •Cowboy Action Shooting – Western-style competitions for all skill levels
- •Lea County Archery Association – Family-oriented bow club welcoming shooters of all skill levels

Members receive a key card for facility access and can bring up to three guests at any time. Local guests are encouraged to purchase their own membership after two visits.
Memberships available at The Gun Shack (324 W. Bender Blvd.) and 2A Tactical & Indoor Firing Range (236 E. Navajo Dr., Ste 1200) in Hobbs.
The range enforces strict safety and conduct standards: no drugs or alcohol, membership key cards cannot be loaned, no exploding targets, targets only (no reactive objects like fruit or building damage), and all trash must be removed. Violations result in membership revocation.
