Newfield Rod and Gun Club

Newfield Rod and Gun Club operates a trap range open to the public with specific shooting hours. The club also runs dedicated member-only facilities for pistol and rifle shooting.

Ammunition is available for purchase at the trap range during public shooting sessions.

The club hosts the Newfield Youth Trap League as part of the New York State High School Clay Target League. This is described as the fastest growing and safest scholastic sport in the USA.

Requirements to compete: - Minimum age: 12 years old - Completed hunter education course - Signed parent permission form

Young people who want to learn before committing to the league can visit during public shooting hours (Tuesday 4-7 PM or Sunday 8-11 AM) and talk with club members.

Beyond the public trap range, Newfield Rod and Gun Club maintains: - Pistol range (member use only) - Rifle range (member use only) - ATA competition shoots

Monthly member meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month. Dinner starts at 6 PM, meeting at 7 PM. Prospective members are encouraged to visit during public shooting sessions before applying. Membership applications are available for download, and the club responds to membership inquiries within 48-72 hours.
