Oxferd Outfitter has been running hunts since 2003 from their base in Jacksboro, Texas. They manage thousands of acres of private ground across 8 ranches in 2 counties—all dedicated to giving hunters what they came for: success, good lodging, and memories that stick around.

Whitetail Deer Hunts - Trophy and meat hunts both available. Hunt over corn feeders from shooting houses and blinds. Trophy bucks typically range 140"-170" with no trophy fees or per-pound charges. The rut runs mid-November through early February, with peak action on the second full moon in November.

Wild Hog Hunts - Unlimited hogs on every package. They scout via trail camera year-round and send you footage before arrival showing when and where hogs are active. Motion-activated lights on feeders help with night hunting. Standard 3-day package runs $595 with lodging included. Hog & Dove combo hunts available at $645.

Rio Grande Turkey Hunts - North Texas has serious birds. They hunt blind over corn feeders (which means you stay concealed while turkeys come in naturally) rather than running-and-gunning. Spring season only. 3-day single tom hunt is $990, double tom hunt is $1,290. They've been managing wild turkey for over 20 years and know the region's rhythms.

Bow Hunts - October and November hunts with crossbow options available. Blinds set up for 15-35 yard shots (camouflage tents, tripods, ladder stands, brush blinds). 3-day packages range $995-$1,395 depending on season. Limited to 12 bow hunters per season to prevent over-pressure.

Dove Hunts - Hunt over sunflower fields, crops, ponds, and plowed ground with mowed strips to improve flight patterns. 2.5-day minimum is $250. They scout bird patterns before you arrive.

Duck Hunts - North Texas sits on a major migratory flyway with multiple species (mallards, wood ducks, teal, pintails, canvasbacks, gadwall, widgeons, shoveler). Hunt over ponds and creeks from blinds with decoy spreads. $150 per hunter per day with 2.5-day minimum; includes lodging.

Youth Hunts - Dedicated to bringing the next generation into hunting.

All hunts come with lodging and a semi-guided experience. That means your guide takes you to and from blind locations—you do the shooting. Feeders run year-round on every property. Guides monitor trail cameras weekly and adjust strategy based on what they're seeing. Each stand is positioned along buffer zones, escape routes, buck bedding areas, and doe trails.

Comfortable lodging provided for every hunt. Large walk-in skinning rooms with freezers on-site. For hog hunters: if you want to skin them yourself, no extra charge. If you want your guide to do it, expect $30-$100 depending on animal size. Euro mounts available.
