Shooters Haven Firearms Training

Shooters Haven combines a licensed FFL firearms dealer with professional instruction. The team brings backgrounds in armed/unarmed security, bodyguard work, competition shooting, and martial arts—experience they fold directly into their curriculum.

They're duly authorized instructors under NY Penal Law and teach courses that exceed minimum state standards:

• •5-day and 2-day sessions - Meet the 16+2 hours of in-person instruction for unrestricted concealed carry licenses
• •4-hour premise license courses - For business owners and employees
• •Ladies-only courses - Specialized instruction (check schedule)

Post-2022 Supreme Court ruling, unrestricted licenses no longer require "just cause" in New York—the timing to get trained and licensed is now.

"Of the 20 or so local instructors, only 2-3 offer courses beyond the basic requirement. Once you finish their basic course, you have nowhere to go for advanced training."

Their reformatted virtual training uses laser pistols to focus on what actually matters in defensive situations: speed, timing, and coordination over raw accuracy alone. Most defensive encounters happen inside 7 yards. The faster draw wins. Laser training builds confidence and muscle memory before transitioning to live fire.

As an FFL, they stock firearms selected for concealed carry—not hunting or tactical gear outside their scope. They cater to their student base with carry-specific knowledge. Special orders available (no refunds, so order correctly).
