Wallkill River Small Arms opened in 2015 after growing from a residential garage operation that started in 2010. What began as an email list circulated by word of mouth evolved into a full-service shop because of the knowledgeable, hands-on customer service that defines the business today.

Unlike most local shops, they actively encourage special orders—if you don't see it in stock, ask and they'll order it. They buy, sell, and trade classic and modern firearms, from single pieces to entire collections.

Frank Riess, the owner, started shooting at age six. He was the only shooter ever to post a perfect 200/200 score in the Wallkill Rod & Gun Club's 25-year 22 Rifle League history. He competes regularly in 3-Gun, USPSA, and vintage military matches. His gun collection reflects broad expertise from early centerfire through WWII-era firearms.
