Wer-On-Um Guide Service is a family-run hunting and fishing operation located in upstate New York, led by Captain Lee Godin—a lifetime resident and third-generation sportsman following in his father's and grandfather's footsteps.
Lee brings serious credentials to the water and field:
He's spent decades exploring the woods, streams, and lakes of Regions 4 and 5, plus extensive time across New York and eastern states pursuing game and fish.
Hunting Adventures: - Pheasant hunts — Wer-On-Um Pheasant Preserve located in the Helderberg Mountains, Albany County (Sept 1 – April 15) - Chukar hunting — Same season as pheasant - Region 4 small game — Rabbits, squirrels, and upland game - Deer hunting — Full season across accessible regions - Big game trips — Additional destinations available by request
Fishing Experiences: - Otsego Lake fishing charters — Guided trips on upstate waters - Wer-On-Um Trout Preserve — Rainbow trout fishing on stocked private pond - Freshwater and saltwater — Species across eastern states

Wer-On-Um welcomes beginners and experienced outdoors people alike. Captain Lee tailors each adventure to your skill level and interests. Ladies and youth are actively encouraged to participate.
Beyond the hunt or catch, Lee focuses on instilling respect for natural resources and wildlife management. He's committed to giving young people outdoor experiences they might not otherwise have access to—fishing, hunting, camping, and hiking.
