Cowboy Action Match

Cowboy Action Shooting is timed, scenario-based competition using single-action revolvers, lever rifles, and shotguns—you pick a Wild West alias, dress the part, and shoot through stages designed around Old West gunfights. It's competitive but built on fun and character, not just raw speed.

Each stage presents a different scenario: outlaw showdown, bank robbery, saloon duel. You move through the course engaging targets in a set sequence, racing the clock. Tioga County Sportsmen's Association hosts this match regularly. Shooters come for the combination of genuine marksmanship test and theatrical shoot-off atmosphere—it rewards accuracy and stage craft equally.
